Selected by the Executive Committee of the Gridiron Club. Presented each fall at NFL Legends Night dinner. In 2007, the Gridiron Club named its Man of the Year Award for Tom Yewcic, in recognition of his extraordinary service to the needy and deserving through his tireless efforts at organizing events and raising funds for charity. Tom is one of the greatest all-around athletes ever to play in Boston. He was a quarterback and punter for the Boston Patriots in the early 1960s. He also played professional baseball for the Detroit Tigers. In college, he led Michigan State to the championships of the Rose Bowl and the College World Series.
